"Shopping Essentials" showed up on my credit card statements with a reacurring charge of $11.95 per month. This company is AKA the Affinion Group of Norwalk, CT, Telephone (203)-956-1000. D&B shows a chain of parent compaines back to Apollo Mgt of Purchase, NY at Tel: (914)-694-8000 which calles itself an investment company. This is a scam and everyone shoud look out for charges from "Shopping Essentials.

You will not have any luck calling Norwalk, CT and the Purchase, N.Y. telephone number answers saying, in effect, that they are sorry but they know nothing of "Shopping Essentials" and that you will have to call them. This is a scam as far as I can see.

I just got off the phone with "Nerely" (a supervisor) and "Taneeka" at Shopping Essentials 888-999-0564. I told them I'd never heard of their company and never made any purchases from them. After A LOT of insistence on my part, Nerely hesitantly told me that her records indicated that I "joined their club via electronic signature" when I supposedly purchased from a store called "The Stitchery" back in January 2009. Never heard of THEM, either. The supv. eventually told me all the charges of $11.95 (4 months' worth) would be cancelled. 

 

As a coincidence, just yesterday I received a letter from my credit card bank asking me to call them re some "suspicious" and "possibly fraudulent activity" on my card. After viewing your website, I'm sure this "AP9ShoppingEssential+" is what they are referring to.
