SHOPPING ESSENTIALS complaint by Hcurran
AP9 Shoppingessentia charged my credit card account twice for services they never rendered. How do I get my money back on this kind of ripoff?

My wife asked me this morning why there were two 14.95 charges on our credit card account and what I had charged. I thought for awhile that I had taken out a magazine subscription and completely blanked out on doing so but after checking my records and then going on-line I found that there were quite a few people who had been ripped off by the same company. How are they getting away with this? Isn't there a criminal justice division that investigates this kind of thing?

DON'T STOP FIGHTING with this company. When I called I refused to take NO for an answer. I was transfered to a different person and only after I threated to not only contact the BBB, my lawyer and told them I have already been in contact with my credit card company did they agree to credit back the charges to my card. Immediately after getting that person's name and ID number I called my bank back and made notes in my account and requested to cancel my card and get a new one. I then went onto BBB.com and submitted a complaint, which they actually have nearly 3000 complaints listed against them anyways. We'll see if I actually do get the money back from the company but my CC company is aware and I will go through them for fradulent charges if I do not see my credit in the next two business days.

I just had this happen to me: the best way to deal with this is to call your bank, have your card canceled and have a new one issued to you, and to request paperwork to file a complaint against the company. My bank is going to refund me the money that was fraudulently charged to my account, as well. You might want to call the company first, just so you can tell your bank that they were uncooperative in refunding your money. And believe me, they will be: when I called the company, they told me that they could only refund me one month's charge: they'd been charging me for the past three months. The bank will record this as "uncooperative in refunding money" and will issue you the paperwork to file a dispute.

This is due to an online order on vitacost.com I just spoke to the guy and he said that this was done since I placed an online order on Vitacost.com

No more business with VITACOST.COM. It is ridiculous

I used Vist Prints! then this $14.95 Charge started coming in from AP9*SHOPPINGESSENTIA on my visa I called the 1888-999-0564. Was placed on hold for 20 min. Then the rudest person in the world got on the phone Employee #49497 I told her to cancel my account and I was disputing all charges she said she would. Low and be hold I look at my account today and theres another charge for $14.95. So now I have written my bank and filed a dispute with them! I never authorized a membership with these people. dishonest company. FYI if you oder online like I do make sure you read all the oder page before you commit to buy I guess that how they get you fine print at the bottom. NEVER AGAIN! :(
